Is the government helping the vulnerable to own homes?

The Facts:

A total of 151 homes have been handed over to vulnerable Jamaicans under the New Social Housing Programme (NSHP), benefitting more than 523 persons. The programme, which targets persons living in substandard conditions, and seeks to improve the living condition of Jamaica’s most vulnerable by providing quality, affordable and sustainable housing. Among such persons are the elderly, the disabled, those suffering from ill-health; and persons who have been displaced due to fire or natural disaster.
